Ethan Gough* (b.2009) is a Canadian composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Raised in a very musical home, Ethan came to music at a young age, constantly found at the piano, or tapping out rhythms. Known for writing and producing popular music, Ethan has taken an interest in classical and jazz music. He studies composition under Jack Etchegary. Ethan is mainly a bassist, participating in his school band and playing double bass in the CALOS Youth Orchestra and Memorial University Wind Ensemble. He is also a recipient of both a 2024 and 2025 Government of NL Arts & Letters award. When not composing or playing, Ethan enjoys some of his other hobbies, including photography, biking, and cooking.
